SXSW Chatbot

Mobile Chatbot, 2017

South by Southwest (SXSW) is an annual conference and festival celebrating the convergence of the interactive, film, and music industries. In 2017, SXSW challenged my team to incorporate AI technology into the official SXSW GO mobile app to further enhance user experience.

The result is Abby, an in-app chatbot that helps attendees navigate SXSW, find out what’s happening and get real-time answers to FAQs. I worked closely with our developers to ensure the bot worked seamlessly within the existing app, and designed an interface that was simple, intuitive and true to the SXSW voice and brand.
